One of his main interests is the spread of English as a global lingua franca. In particular, he has explored the potential detrimental impact of the spread of English on other languages and the communicative inequality between scientists who have English as a first language and those who use it as an additional language, especially when it comes to placing their work in high-ranking international journals. |
