Registration steps

To attend MET events you must be a member of MET or certain fraternal associations.

  • If you have already paid your membership dues for 2010, please register for METM10 using the registration form for paid-up members. Membership runs for one calendar year.

Members of EMAME, EASE, APTIC (and others in the Spanish ASOCESP network) may register as guest members by ticking the appropriate boxes on the same registration form
  • If you are not yet a member or have not yet renewed your membership for 2010, please use the registration form for new or renewing members. To the METM10 fees listed below, new and renewing members will need to add the annual membership fee (€30) unless they are members of the aforementioned fraternal associations.

The registration steps are as follows:

  1. Plan your METM workshop schedule. (Choose one or two workshops for Thursday afternoon and/or Friday morning.)
  2. Decide whether you’ll attend the closing dinner (an excellent networking event that is reasonably priced).
  3. Fill in the online form (registration form for paid-up members or registration form for new or renewing members), specifying your payment method. If you’ll need an invoice, remember to tick the invoice-request box. Submit.
  4. Complete payment of the calculated total (bank transfer or PayPal). If bank transfers or PayPal use are not allowed from your country, or if you must wait for a visa before you can be certain you’ll be able to travel, please specify this on your application form. We’ll get in touch with you about alternatives.

When we receive confirmation of payment, or an alternative arrangement is made, your registration will be confirmed.

We also suggest you visit the social program and local information pages, where you’ll find details that will help you plan your arrangements for travel and accommodation.

Online registration is available until 25 October. After that date, please write to to ask whether registration at the door is possible. Top

Fees

The main fees (speakers’, early and standard) include all plenary events and parallel presentations on 29-30 October, plus your choice of one training workshop on 28 October or 29 October. Participants who cannot stay for the closing dinner on Saturday evening may opt out (fee reduction of €35). (Menu choices for lunch and dinner will be available for those who follow special diets.)

The low fees for METMs are made possible thanks to volunteer organizers and speakers and donated meeting spaces. Universitat Rovira i Virgili has donated the venue for METM10.

If registrants are unable to attend for unforeseen reasons, we will process a refund after 5 November 2009 if written notification is received by 30 September. All refund applications will be subject to a handling fee of €35.

Fee transfers should be made to MET’s Spanish bank account or, if a bank transfer is inconvenient or costly for you, feel free to use PayPal after the online registration form has been submitted.
