MET became a member of the Spanish Network of the Anna Lindh Euro-Mediterranean Foundation for Dialogue Between Cultures in November 2006. The ALF is a network of networks, each national network consisting of associations founded locally. We’re confident we’ll be able to meet MET’s objectives in a wider range of settings through ALF contacts.

The Institut d'Estudis Catalans has announced a first conference on academic publishing (in all languages), to be held in Barcelona. There is no charge, but registration is required. A partial program and call for papers is posted here.

On the 29th of September, the Associació de Traductors i d'Intèrprets de Catalunya (ATIC) and Traductores e Intérpretes Asociados pro Colegio (TRIAC) are organizing a meeting to celebrate the International Translation Day. Details of the program can be found here.

The University of Chicago Graham School will begin offering courses for their award winning certificate in Medical Writing and Editing at the Paris Center of the University of Chicago this September.
