MET is an association
that shares knowledge and brings together
people in the Mediterranean and southern
European area who give language support
for international communication in
English. MET is
Much of our
members’ work involves science—taken
broadly to mean human, social and
“hard” sciences—but
we also facilitate academic and professional
communication in finance, culture,
politics, business, law and non-governmental
organizations. MET members work both
inside and outside universities, in-house
and freelance providing services such
as:
translation,
critical translation, revision
project management
authors’ editing, publications
editing
oral coaching for presentations
training for writers, speakers
interpreting
MET
meetings and workshops have brought
together professionals from within
the Euro-Mediterranean space and greater
Middle East (Algeria, Croatia, France,
Greece, Iran, Israel, Italy, Kuwait,
Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Serbia and
Spain) and beyond (Australia, Austria,
Belgium, Canada, Czechia, Finland,
Germany, Poland, New Zealand, the
UK and the USA).
In 2006, MET
registered as a nonprofit association
with the justice department of the
Generalitat de Catalunya—the
government of Catalonia, the northeastern
autonomous community of Spain.
