METM 05 was held at the Institut Europeu de la Mediterrània—in modern facilities in a renovated neoclassical building from the turn of the last century. Located in the lower part of the Eixample district of Barcelona, the venue is very near Plaça Catalunya and the Gothic Quarter. The neighborhood is well served by public transport (underground Metro Lines 1, 4 and 2) and many hotels, restaurants and sites are within walking distance.
