Mediterranean Editors and Translators (MET) is a nonprofit organization that promotes more effective international communication for cultural institutions, enterprises and knowledge societies in the Euro-Mediterranean space. MET is governed by a volunteer council that serves a general assembly of members dedicated to our mission. [Read more about MET's mission.] We are association number 31703, registered in Barcelona with the justice department of the Generalitat of Catalonia, the government of that autonomous community of Spain.

MET needs sponsors’ help in organizing continuing professional development opportunities for journal editors and other language support professionals—technical translators, oral communication coaches, applied linguists and language facilitators in general. Some workshops will be open to novice writers and public speakers in the sciences and other knowledge fields.

Grants Fund

We’ve established a Grants Fund to encourage the participation of young editors, translators and other communications facilitators in the Mediterranean area, many of whom do not enjoy institutional support. A contribution of €300 supports three grants to register at our main meeting. A contribution of €100 supports the registration of 3 people at most of our workshops.
