I have been working as a full-time translator (and interpreter) since 2007. While Turkish is my native language, English is the language I learnt first, at age 4, while living in the US. I obtained my BA in International Affairs and History from an American university in Brussels, worked as a political advisor for a British MEP and was awarded an "A" grade on the Cambridge Proficiency in English Exam. I learned French at age 11 while living in Belgium and attending a French-speaking school. Both my French and my English are B languages. 

I specialise in academic translations. One of my projects was the TR>EN translation of five articles on Ottoman print culture, four of which were published in the 2019 issue Lingua Franca (https://www.sharpweb.org/linguafranca/issue-5-2019-ottoman-print-culture/). I was said to have produced "accurate, lucid translations that adhered to [the] house style."

- Decathlon:  monthly newsletter, product information leaflets, client and employee questionnaires, posters, ads, videos.

- Netatmo smart thermometer apps and website
