Qualifications and experience

I started out in the early 1980s as in-house translator for British Nuclear Fuels plc in Cheshire in North-West England, but have been freelance for the past thirty years or so. I specialise in nuclear technology, energy in general (including renewables), health & safety and the environment, but also work in the fields of horticulture and food & drink due to my own personal interests. I am a Fellow of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting, and am currently also an ITI Board member.

I write a translation blog about topics of interest to the profession, but also have a gardening/food blog where I discuss my allotment and culinary adventures.
