I am a French to English translator, specialised in academic texts in the humanities and social sciences. I have translated or proof-edited more than 2 million words for publication, presentation or submission in the academic domain in the form of books, chapters, conference papers, research funding applications and around two hundred research articles.
I have a PhD in (French) Linguistics, a MA (with Distinction) in Applied Translation and a BA Hons English and French. I am also a Chartered Linguist. I adhere to the codes of professional conduct of the Société française des traducteurs (SFT), the Chartered Institute of Linguists (CIOL), the Associate of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting (ITI) and the Society for Editors and Proofreaders (SfEP), providing clients with the guarantee of the highest professional standards.

I keep up to date with the latest developments in both the translation industry and HASS research through my membership of a number of professional associations and through undertaking professional training, attending conferences, seminars and workshops and reading industry and subject literature. I complete a minimum of 30 hours CPD per year.
