I have been a professional translator for almost 30 years, following a number of different careers during which I picked up a variety of skills. Now in my senior years, I continue to translate, but not to the same extent as before.
I am a Chartered Linguist and as such I maintain my CPD each year to keep my skills and knowledge up to date.
In my spare time, I volunteer for a number of local charities, including the local heritage windmill; currently I am the administrator of a self-help group during the lock-down. I love to sing in a choir and am a keen member of Worthing Speakers - a branch of International Toastmasters.
For eight years I was managing director of eCPD Webinars - a training company dedicated to providing training for translators and interpreters.

Spotlight on CPD
This year, BP20. I attended the first virtual conference for BP. I have also attended a Spanish workshop, as well as a number of informal networking events with other translators, both in person and online.
