The Scottish Universities International Summer School (SUISS) at Edinburgh University offers a Fellowship for a professional translator funded by the Scottish Arts Council. This year the summer school runs from 12 July to 21 August. The closing date for the award is 12 April 2010.
The Edwin Morgan Translation Fellowship covers the course and accommodation fee of the "Text and Context" literary course at SUISS for six weeks for a professional translator of English literature. It would also allow the fellow to do research in the library of Edinburgh University and the National Library of Scotland. Applications for the fellowship are invited from "professional translators with an interest in twentieth-century and contemporary Scottish writing".
