Getting Organized! Tools and approaches that can help freelancers ‘create time’

Anne Murray – Tarragona, Spain

As a freelancer, it’s easy to fall into the trap of becoming a slave to your work and neglecting your ‘life’. Constant interruptions and distractions, lost nights and weekends, and poor time management in general are all common problems. To confront this situation, which can be very stressful, you first need to step back and ask yourself where you are now and where you want to go. A fundamental question to address is what kind of work you want and under what conditions. Unless you take stock and a proactive stance with regard to your work, you’ll find that events manage you rather than the other way around.

In this short session, we will look at some simple ideas and take-home tools that will help you to analyse your current situation, set yourself goals, organise your time, and make more money while doing so.
