The Institute for Medical Research and Occupational Health is an independent public institution whose research includes assessment of environmental load with and health effects of radionuclides, toxic metals, pesticides and other organic pollutants, measurement and assessment of air quality, and assessment of allergic, toxic, mutagenic, and psychological effects of a variety of environmental parameters. With its scientific journal Archives of Industrial Hygiene and Toxicology, the Institute seeks to contribute to the global knowledge on environmental effects on human health.
