Ros Schwartz -” who draws on her 30 years' experience as a literary translator -” also translates corporate literature and academic works. A freelance translator from French since 1981, Ros has translated over 60 works of fiction and nonfiction, including Dominique Manotti's Lorraine Connection, which won the 2008 International Dagger Award. In 2009 Ros was made a Chevalier dans l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres. She publishes articles on literary translation and gives workshops and talks around the world and is currently Chair of English PEN's Writers in Translation committee.
