MET’s main event of the year is the annual conference, Mediterranean Editors and Translators Meeting (METM), which is usually held in a Mediterranean city during the last four months of the year. METM covers two and a half days and offers a wide range of workshops, short presentations and plenary talks by invited speakers. The aim of the conference is to provide high-quality content for participants and serve as a forum for networking with other professionals. (+)

MET organizes a series of workshops each year in the period from February to September. These workshops are regularly held in Barcelona but can also travel to other cities if facilities are available. The standard format is a three-hour workshop, sometimes monographic and sometimes combining several topics. The workshops cover all aspects of continuing professional development of interest to editors and translators working into English, including translation and editing techniques, field-specific content, grammar and translation and editing tools.
