As a translator and cultural project consultant and manager, I support individuals and organisations in the academic and cultural sectors to disseminate their ideas to international audiences in writing or through interventions and programmes, events and exhibitions. Intercultural communication and cooperation are at the heart of my work: my vision of translation as a collaborative and creative practice inspires me to develop innovative approaches that facilitate new communities to engage with arts and culture.

Dr Stacie Allan is a published author and specialist academic translator. Stacie holds a PhD in nineteenth-century francophone literature (Bristol, 2017) and is author of Writing the Self, Writing the Nation (Peter Lang, 2019), as well as an extensive corpus of articles and book reviews. Translations include: Puppetry and Dramaturgy (Palgrave, 2025), Arts, Ecologies, Transitions: Constructing a Common Vocabulary (Routledge, 2024), and MÄNK’ÁČEN (Palais Books, 2022). In 2020, Stacie established the Virtual Scriptorium with Dr Johnny McFadyen to provide editorial support and author services to the academic sector.
Stacie has significant experience in managing and providing consultancy for cultural and educational projects, facilitating workshops and training sessions, and teaching in higher education. Since undertaking the Translators in Schools training in 2014, Stacie has regularly collaborated with the Stephen Spender Trust. From 2015–17, Stacie taught French and world cultures at the universities of Bristol and Westminster.
