I have been a free spirit since my early university days and set up my own translation business in 2009, as soon as I gained my MA. I’m fanatical about languages, linguistics and teaching English. I put my heart and soul into all my work and devote scrupulous attention to detail. I’m a firm believer in life-long learning and constantly on the look-out for new training opportunities. In rare moments of recreation I like to read, cook, work out and spend time with my much-loved cats.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

2020 to present

Founder, Project Manager & Translator of GETAWAY TRANSLATIONS, a Europe-wide team of translators specialised in tourism, travel, hospitality, catering, food and wine, leisure, sport and entertainment.

I liaise with clients to evaluate their needs, select project-specific native linguists and provide timely results and follow-up. I strive to give clients the advantage they need to succeed in their particular sector.

2009 to present

Freelance EN>IT and FR>IT Translator, Proofreader & Reviewer

I work with translation agencies and direct clients to translate and revise texts and content of any size, within my areas of expertise and beyond. Translation capacity: 1,500-2,000 words per day.

I work with MS Office, InDesign, SDL Trados and MemoQ compatible software. References upon request.

Freelance EN<>IT and FR<>IT Business Liaison Interpreter
