MET digital clean-up days

MET cares about being sustainable, in line with our objectives. As part of this, we organize quarterly digital clean-up days online to help members reduce their digital clutter.

These sessions provide a space for members to work together to delete old data, tidy up their devices and build systems to help habits stick. They are a way to share ideas, take concrete action and stay accountable through peer support.

Background

Digital clean-up days are a global initiative. The idea for MET’s sessions came from a group of members who started the sustainability conversation at METM25. The sustainable language professional was an idea-sharing session that sparked a follow-up MET Conversation and subsequently led to the formation of the MET Sustainables team.

MET held its first digital clean-up session in March 2026.
