Qualifications and experience

A specialist French/Spanish to English translator and Chartered Linguist, I help businesses, NGOs and academics scale their impact through creative human translation, providing targeted, publication-ready texts in business and marketing, urbanism and real estate, sustainability and social science.

For the last eight years I have been practising as Tinta Viva Translation, based in Oxfordshire in the UK. In Spanish, Tinta Viva means ‘living ink’. I think of translation as giving ideas and information a new life in a different language and culture, helping them feel right at home. Ultimately, I’m here to help organisations and individuals create a more beautiful, sustainable and liveable world, by taking their words global, connecting with new audiences and optimising their results.

In addition to the Diploma in Translation (DipTrans) in both of my language pairs, I hold a BA (Hons) in Geography from the University of Cambridge, an MPhil in Environment, Society and Development and an MSc in City Planning and Regeneration. I am a qualified member of both the Chartered Institute of Linguists (CIoL) and the Institute of Translation and Interpreting (ITI) and a member of Mediterranean Editors and Translators (MET).  Before entering the world of translation, I worked as a fundraiser for the University of Oxford and a social researcher.

You can find out more about me and my work at www.tintavivatranslation.com.

If you think we might be a good fit, I’d be delighted to hear from you.
