AI: a tangential view from the medical writing field

MET member Ailish Maher attended the European Medical Writers Association (EMWA) symposium on AI in Medical Writing on 9 May. 

In the first part of this 90-minute online MET workshop, Ailish will summarize some of the symposium content that affects all language professionals, including ethics, confidentiality, governance and regulatory aspects. Attendees will then share their experience of AI in breakout groups.

In the second part of the session, Ailish will show how she has used ChatGPT in her work before opening up the floor for Q&A and discussion.
