Memorandum of Understanding signed with IULM16-08-2024In July 2024, MET signed an agreement with the IULM University in Milan, Italy, reflecting our mutual interest in research projects in the fields of translation and interpreting and other shared core objectives. Support for individuals engaging in research may take the form of a MET grant for research*, funding by the International Center for Research on Collaborative Translation (ICRCT) at IULM, or participation in workshops, lectures or conferences organized by ICRCT. In parallel, MET has recently awarded a research grant to Michael Farrell, a MET member and lecturer at IULM, to support colleagues participating in his research project on synthetic-text editing and GenAI. Finally, on a related note, MET was pleased to welcome IULM as an institutional member earlier this year. * MET offers a maximum of four grants per year of up to €500 each to support members who are planning or doing research related to any of MET’s objectives.
