Qualifications and experience

I offer a variety of services all related to English, my mother tongue, and to my various artistic activities, especially poetry, solo performance, and documentary film-making (nancyduplessis.com). I have also recently returned to indexing, which I did years ago in New York.

My trilingual business website is everything-in-english.com  (English/German/French)

My fields of specialization for translating and editing include international relations, environment/sustainability, social sciences and urban design/city planning, particularly in the MENA Region, Africa, Europe, and the Americas. I also work in all the arts, on websites and online general-interest journals, and also subtitle films and make voice recordings. I work intensively with my clients, especially on their book proposals, and am always interested in a new challenge. I coach individuals and groups on making presentations. My new compact workshop focusing on voice and speech production was enthusiastically received at METM23.

I've studied many different subjects and languages in degree programs, continuing education, and informally. A native US-English speaker, I have lived most of my life in Europe, where I work mostly with UK English.
