Qualifications and experience
I am a British translator with 15 years' experience. I work from Spanish, Catalan and French into English for agencies, universities and private customers, largely in Spain but also in the UK, France, Germany, Belgium, Italy and other countries. My specialities include journalism, history, tourism, business, sport, food and wine, and art and music. I also correct texts in English and, with 15 years' experience in journalism, write original texts in English to order. As well as MET, I am also a member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists in London and APTIC (the Catalan Association of Professional Translators and Interpreters). I have passed the CIoL DipTrans qualification in translation from Spanish to English and the WSET Level 2 qualification in wine. I have also attended METM14, 15 and 16 and various workshops over the past few years run by MET and APTIC on writing in English, developing a translation business and particular specialist areas of translation such as art and wine. I also gave a presentation at METM16.
