METM22
The personal touch
Olarain University Hall of Residence
Donostia/San Sebastián
Spain
13-15 October 2022
After moving online in 2021, we’re back in person for our annual meeting – or METM. Now in its 18th year, METM is a highlight in the calendar for editors, translators, interpreters and other language consultants around the Mediterranean and beyond.
Fittingly, the theme for this year’s meeting is the personal touch. At METM22, we’ll explore how human interaction and skill shape our work and how we’re nurturing our professional relationships and services during the pandemic. And as a nod to our host city, we’ll also share our experiences of minority languages.
Location
Donostia/San Sebastián, in the Basque Country, was once famed as a sophisticated summer residence during the Belle Époque. Today it is a modern, vibrant city renowned for its urban beaches, natural beauty and innovative gastronomy.
Our venue is the Olarain University Hall of Residence, a contemporary, quirky location in the city's university area. Olarain offers on-site accommodation and is within walking distance of the town centre and the Ondarreta and La Concha beaches.
