The annual Mediterranean Editors and Translators Meeting (METM), now in its 14th year, is an established CPD and networking event – a highlight in the calendar for many editors, translators, interpreters and other providers of English-language support services in the Mediterranean area and beyond. It offers one and a half days of presentations and keynote speeches, two half days of pre-conference workshops, and a programme of “Off-METM” events.

The 2018 meeting will be held in Girona, Spain. This beautiful city of approximately 90,000 people is located about 100 km from Barcelona and is itself well connected (airport, high-speed train station). Centre Cultural La Mercè is a charming venue located in the heart of Girona's old town. This facility on the site of a 14th-century convent is now a cultural centre operated by the city. The convent's church has been repurposed as the centre's crown jewel: a state-of-the-art theatre known as Auditori de la Mercè.
