When in Pisa for MET’s 2019 workshop day, why not do as the Pisans do? Join us for tours, visits, meals and wall walking. Workshop day attendees will receive a link to the sign-up form from the CPD chair.

Tour of the Scuola Normale Superiore
The workshop day is taking place in the Normale’s main building, Palazzo della Carovana, which has been in use since the 1200s. Restructured by Giorgio Vasari in the 16th century for the Knights of St. Stephen, it has housed the Normale since the 1840s.
Come and visit this building, with its fencing and weapons rooms and more, along with other historic buildings of the Scuola Normale mentioned by Dante in the Divine Comedy and located on the beautiful Piazza Cavalieri (Knights’ Square). Meeting point: Outside Palazzo della Carovana, Piazza dei Cavalieri 7.

City tour & wall walk
Join us as we visit the heart of Pisa and take a walk along a section of the old medieval walls (map here).
Participants in the wall walk must be able to climb stairs. Wear comfortable shoes!
