I translate books and exhibition texts/catalogues for museums and other art institutions, and art criticism and architecture articles for journals. I also edit authors looking to publish in social sciences fields. I translate, transcreate, edit and proofread marketing materials and other texts for major Spanish brands via a couple of agencies I've been working with for decades. And I've been translating and editing training materials, case law summaries and other texts for the International Training Centre of the International Labour Organization in all spheres of their activity since 2008. Other types of work I relish include translating in gastronomy and tourism and generally anything that has to do with cultures and their history.

I've been translating and editing for almost two decades now, and I still love it. I feel honoured to have long-standing relationships with the most interesting set of clients I could have asked for. They have taught me a lot of what I know today. 

While I had a bit of a slow year in 2024, my usual work levels have recovered in 2025. Nevertheless, I've dusted off my TEFL hat just in case and I've been learning a great deal from teaching a little English again, not the least that I can leave the office and dip into other activities every now and then and nothing terrible happens.

I am your current MET secretary. It's nice to have the chance to attempt to give back just a bit of what this industry and community has contributed to my life over the years.
