Content marketing 101 for translators

Maeva Cifuentes, Barcelona, Spain

Content marketing is creating and distributing valuable, relevant and consistent content to attract and educate a specific audience (customers). Most brands use blogs, ebooks, webinars and videos in their content marketing strategies. It’s a long-term, sustainable tool for a business strategy. Well-designed and implemented content strategies have amazing long-term return on investment. It doesn’t matter if you’re a photographer or a candlemaker, teaching your audience about your niche is one of the best long-term marketing strategies.

When people have a problem, they generally look online for a solution. Content is there to inform, educate and inspire your customer to trust you and eventually buy from you.

This presentation will give the fundamentals of content marketing and will discuss elements like the buyer persona, buyer journey, kinds of content, post length, internal link building, search engine optimization and metadata generation, analytics and ranking, how often to post, key metrics to follow, and implementing it into your social media plan.

This presentation will be suitable for translators who want to use content as a part of their marketing strategy or who want to add content writing as a part of their offer to clients.
