New visitor reception centre

The new visitor reception centre at the Monastery of Poblet was officially opened on 15 January 2013. Located at the entrance of the complex, this beautiful, functional brick-built cellar, formerly dedicated to wine production, was refurbished thanks to an agreement between the monastery and Codorniu, which has been growing vines within the walled enclosure of Poblet since 1989.

The spacious visitor centre also houses a shop and tourist information desk. The shop is well-stocked with a wide range of regional products, including books and wines, as well as articles made by the monks, such as hand-bound books and ceramics.

The tourist desk is located to the left of the entrance and is staffed every day from 10 am to 7 pm. Here you can find a wealth of information about the region and purchase tickets for guided or unguided visits to the monastery.
